STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Stevens and Gorton report :—Our sales last week were held at Bulls on the 13th, and at Woodville on the 14th instant. There was a rather small attendance at Bulls and the sale did not show much animation. Store cows were, rather dull of sale, and dry sheep were easier in price. A pen of shorn prime fat wethers were passed in at - 12s 9d. We had a full entry of 1' cattle at Woodville and two lines o| good wethers. Steer cattle were in strong demand and sold well. One or two pens of cows were passed in at, prices not reaching vendors' expectations. The wethers did not sell. > We quote as under: — >■ Cattle. —At Bulls—2-yr ' steers £3 3s 6d; bullocks, £4 16s ; fat cows, £5 Is Gd to £5 3s 6d; forward heifers, £3 10s; cows in calf, £215s to £815s milkers, £3 to £0; yearlings, 85s. At Woodville—Bullocks, £5 4s 6d to '£5 8s 6d ; 3-yr steers, £415s ; 2^-yr. steers, £3 14s ; 18 mo steers, £2 12s £ to £3 Is; store cows, £3 4s 6d ; fet'T cows, £4 Us. Sheep. —At Bulls -Fat wethers in wool, 16s 8d; forward do., 15s lOd ; hoggets, 13s 4cl 15s ; ewes and lambs, 14s 3d. Horses —Draft colts, £17; ponies, £5 to £G. ■
