PERKEAU has opened a General Store a few doors from the Post Office, and he trusts by attention to business to merit a share of their esteemed patronage. It is intended to conduct the business strictly on the CASH SYSTEM, and to sell the entirely New Stock consisting of Groceiy, Ironmongery, Boots, Stationery, Crockery, Glassware, and Tobaccos, etc., at the lowest possible prices. He has held for years the highest position as a Tailor and Cutter that any man in New Zealand can attain to, viz., the foreman in the leading Tailoring establishment in the colony (Messrs Brown and Ewing, of Dunedin). I have offered sufficient inducement for him to come and manage my Tailoring Department. I trust that my endeavours to meet the tetter class of trade will be appreciated by those who are really desiring a first-class article. We would like a few good orders immediately, so that the style and workmanship may serve as an advertisement for our Christmas trade, which is very promising at present.
