The results of the business for the Forty - iirst Year, ending 31st December, 18R9, may be summarised as under : — • First — The number of the New Policies issued was £]L,6641. Second — The new Assurance business effected was for £3,679j459. Thikb — 'I he New Annual Premium Income amounted to ;5123L,500. Fourth — The net increase to the business, after allowing for loss of income from terminated Policies, was represented by 7028 Policies, assuring 332,---109,199. Fifth — The operations of the year raised the annual income of the Society from £1,512,280 to £1,625,---185, an incrense in twelve months of £112,905.
