DEVIL'S DANCE.
Sclavonic legends furnish two or three. There is a strange fancy nmong them of calling a whirlwind the " Devil's Dance," and when it blows strongly the peasants are directed to cast a knife into the midst of the blast, whereupon the evil one. will appear in a fawning, crouching manner, and will be willing to do whatever his captor wishes.
