HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8. The Speaker took the chair at 2.30 p. ni. The Premier refused to appoint a Select Committee to enquire into the allegations against Mr W. B. Edwards. The Post Office Acts Amendment Bill was reported without amendment and it was read a third time and passed. The Premier congratulated the Hon Mr Rolleston on his election to the leadership of the Opposition, and said the Government would give him every assistance in carrying on the arduous duties of his position. The Itouse went into Committee of Supply and rose at 3. 85 a.m.
