The Honorable Sir Gordon Sprigg, ex-Premier, presided at the meeting. All classes ,apd creeds endorsed the General's proposal for the establishment of Salvation Colonies in South Africa. While in Cape Town, the General was the guest of Sir J. Gordon Sprigg. The Salvation Army will keep their annual week of Prayer and self-denial in New Zeajand from October 4th to October 10th. Last year the Army's funds were supplemented from this source to the tune of over £80,000. Of this amount New Zealand contributed over £1000. This year it is anticipated that £1500 will be raised.
