The results of the business for the Fortyfirst Year, ending 31st December, 1889, may be summarised as under : — Fikst— The number of the New Policies issued was 11,664. Second — The new Assurance business effected was for £3,679,459. Thibti — '1 he New Annual Premium Income amounted to jSISXjSOO. Foueth — The net increase to the business, after allowing for loss of income from terminated Policies, was represented by 702S Policies, assuring £2,---109,1C9. Fifth — The operations of the year raised the annual income of the Society from £1,512,280 to £1,625,---185, an increase in twelve months of £112,905.
