The Government he might say, did not propose to make the Female Franchise Bill a Government measure, but they would facilitate its discussion in committee of the whole House. They, proposed to go on with the Electoral Bill, leaving over at present that clause at the interpretation relating to female franchise. The Wanganui River Trust Bill was introduced by Mr G. Hutchinson and read the first time. The Government Loans to Local Bodies Bill was received by message from the Governor and read the first time. The Eiver Boards Act Amend ment Bill, the Public Revenues Bill, and the Selectors' Land Revaluation Continuance and Amendment Bill,, were read the third time and passed. , The Land and Income Tax Assessment Bill was re-committed on the motion of the Premier, in order to consider certain amendments. — The Premier having replied, a division was taken, when the Bill was passed by 80 to 14. . The House rose at 8. 15 a. m.
