It also appeals for delay in j the payment of taxes, and urges , the closing of liquor shops for the ; year. 1 The expulsion of Jewish artisans : from St Petersburg has been post- ; poned. 1 The average daily number of Jews : leaving towns in South Russia for the frontier is 700i The Czar and Czarina, who have been on a visit to Finland, are much pained at the cold reception by the inhabitants. The Fins are displeased at the recent measures in the direction of Russianising the country.
