Tenth— The cash surplus divided for ths year 1889 was £426,494, being at the rate of 41.5 per cent, on the premiums received. The operations of the Society during tho 41 years of its existence may be sumniar ised as under — It has issued 141,907 policies, assuring £40,417,717.
