It is rumoured that a great Financial Trust is being formed for the purpose of absorbing the Barings' assets from the Bank of England when the market is favourable. The Hon S. C. Dr Maclagan, Bishop of Lichfield, has accepted the Archbishopric of York, the Queen has approved of the appointment. Intelligence has been received that Sei'via is massing her troops, and that Bulgaria apprehends an invasion from that quarter in the near future. Details of the capture of British and German steam colliers by the Chilian re!>el cruiser 1 lanco Encalada have been received. From these it is learnt that immediately the seizure was made known to the British Admiral he demanded an apology, threatening otherwise to open tire on the rebel ships. The captain of the Blanco Encalada at once apologised and iircd a Royal salute.
