The leaders of the Boer expedition to Mashonaland aie confident of the success of the undertaking. Willoughby, the leader of the pioneer expedition to Mashonaland, officially denies the correctness of the explanation of the Portuguese " who fired on the British steamer Agnes, which was conveying the party up the Pungwe river.
