An advertiser "wants 200 acres of land. A tarpulin has been last and finder is requested to leave it at Messrs McMillan Rhodes & Co. It is handy for settlers to know of a reliable firm of Auctioneers in Wellington. Wo are therefore glad to draw their attention to the advertisement of Messrs George Thomas &Co appearing today. This firm has been in existence for years and is one of the oldest and best in the City In this issue we publish an advertisement of Mr James Laird the well known gardener of Wanganui. We can honestly recommend those wanting plants and fruit trees to purchase from him, as they are always olean, healthy and true to name. To those who fear the apple blight we can say that if they are prepared to pay a fair price for " double-worked " trees, they will get them clean. ]n Mr Thynne's orchard about 70 of these trees, obtained from Mr Laird eight years ago, are as clean as the c*ay they were planted. Mr Peterson has secured a tenant for his house and land, and sold his cows, througli the medium of our columns. Mr Bradeock has two sidesaddles for sale.
