The London Bellringers.

mo uunuun Dtsiirmgers. — : ♦ This evening will see the appearance in Foxton of the great London Bellringers and Faust Family Company. The Combination have been touring the Colony north and south during the past five months, with phenominal success, and the Press in the various centres have been laudatory of the excellent quality of the entertainment. I The Wellington Press speaks in very high terms of the cornet playing of Herr Von der Mehden, who furnishes a remarkable example of the soope an 4 flexibility of his instrument, in the interpretation of the most varied musical effects. The members of the Faust Family, 'who combine the performance of the most trying acrobatic feats with the similtaneous rendering of the most difficult passages of music, were something in the way of a new revelation, and showed to what extent mind may gain a victory over '■ matters when it tries hard enough. , The ordinary laws of nature seem to have no particular restrictions for the Faust Family. The musical entertainment is said t(T be an excellent one, while the '. y£ r J funny burlesque and pantomimic sketches cleverly introduced during the course of the performance are refined and without the least trace of vulgarity or the "Music Hall" stamp. The company have their own brass band with them. We . would remind our readers that the season is positively limited to the one night, viz., to-night, Saturday, the 25th inst.

as the present accommodation is hardly enough for present requirements. The flaxmill here closes next Saturday for the winter months. Very sorry, but what must be, must. I must not forget to pay the weather clerk a well-deserved compliment. We have been enjoying weather of first-class quality this last fortnight.
