The operations of the Society during the 41 years of its existence may be summarised as under— It has issued 141,907 policies, assuring £49,417,717. It lias paid to the representatives of deceased members over £4,GOO,OOO in satisfaction of death anp matured claims. i It has divided among the members (ash bonuses aggregating over £4,000,000, yielding reversionary additions of over £8,000,000. Fifth— The operations of the year raised the annual income cf the Society from <£1,515,250 to £1,625,---185, an increase in twelve months of £112,805.
