Wirikino Road Board.

♦_ — The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held at the Board's office at Levin on Saturday at 10.80 a.m. Present — Messrs J. Also that he report, on .the work required to form a cart road on railway terrace Ohau. That notice be sent to James Smith, Shannon road to take away the gate and fence erected by him on the road. That the Chairman be instructed to reply to Mr Hankins' letter re the drains on Shannon road. That tha Engineer be instructed to take the levels and prepare a scheme for dealing with the stream at Shannon, and also to employ any professional assistance he may deem necessary if required. Plans and specificatioas to be in by the next meeting of the Board." That Mr Scott's report be adopted. That Mr Thynne be informed that the Board are unable for a time to comply with his request for a share of the advertising, being under agree* ment with Mr Smith of the Manawatu Times. That the Clerk write to Messrs Crowther and James Smith and ask them to keep their pigs from trespassing on the roads, or in default to be held liable for all damage resulting thereby. That the services of a dray and man be engaged at 9s per day for W^. -on the Shannon river road That the following sections now standing in the name of F. J. Stucky in the rate book be transferee! as follows : — viz, Rural section 48 and Suburban section 9 to Ellen Stucky ; Suburban sections 30 and 81 to Fredrick G. A. Stuckey, and Suburban section 10 to Harry Walter Stuckey. That the | of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all property in the Wirokino Road Board, of which due notice has been given be now struck and confirmed. Accounts amounting to £805 15s were passed for payment.
