The Bazaar.

♦ ■ The long looked- for—Primfttoe Methodist Bazaar will be held in. the Public Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday next. The opening ceremony on Tuesday will be very attractive. We understand that His Worship the Mayor has been asked to open*- the proceedings, and other prominent men will have a few words to say* Music will be an item, the Church Choir singing appropriate hymns. There will most likely be a large gathering, therefore it is fortunate that tickets can be purchased previously, thus saving the crush at the doors. Everything has been thoughtfully arranged to combine business with pleasure, and fun with profit. The work stalls will have real useful articles besides the ornamental. The fine art gallery is said to be worth the whole price of admission, there being some fifty seven studies. The boys will be about the shooting gallery, a safe air gun, guaranteed to shoot straight having been obtained. A Fairy Well, whatever that may be, has been secured, and it cannot therefore be anything ill. The refreshment stalls have been placed in most competent hands, so the hungry need not go empty awayJ* No raffles are to be allowed, thiP only opportunity for real gambling will be the bran tub and the mh. pond, though these being confined to the very young are not supposed to be hurtful. The object that the bazaar is held for, is a most deserving one, and deserves supporting and we. look forward to a very satisfactory balance when the bazaar is closed.
