The Queensland Shearers.
Unionists are trailing firersticks through tlie cdutftry iii In'e vicinity of Barcaldine and Clennont, but the heavy rains which have been falling the last few days are fortunately ex- ! tinguising the fires. Bodies of Military are following up the Unionists. A force of mounted infantry and troopers effected the arrest of fifteen shearers including several members of the Executive. One of the latter tried to get i'id of some paper by throwing them into a crowd of unionists when arrested. Tlie troopers drove the mob back with their swords* arid r'e^oVe lieu the documents which it is understood are of the utmost public importance. They are said to incriminate many persons, and to reveal a plot of a sensational character. The situatitJti is iiidi'e&siiig iti seriousness, and the Unionists are flocking from all parts towards liarcaldine. Colonel French proceeds West mi* mediately taking reinforcements.
