Stock Sale.

Messrs Stevens & Gorton held a sale of sheep to day. Close on 8000 were yarded. The attendance of buyers was good. The following prices were realised. Some ewes from the Oroua Downs ranged from 8s lOd to lis 7d. A pen of fat ewes went for 10s 3d, they were anything but prime. A draught of woolly lambg went at 5s Bd, others 5s and 4s ld. One very superior lot, placed for sale by Mr A. S. Easton realised 9s ld. 2 to 6-tooth ewes sold from 7s 3d, 8s 2d, 8s 7d to , 10s ld. Two pens were passed. I The class of sheep were not so good i as those entered for the last sale.
