Royal Dramatic Co.
This company gave a very satisfactory rending of Lord Tennyson's '♦Dora" in the Public Hall on Saturday night, to a fairly large and appreciative audierice; Tlie back seats were mightily tickled with the fun displayed in the Medley Olio and the Limerick Boy. The company announced that another entertainment would be given on Monday, but owing to the wet night, and one or two other important meetings being held, the attendance was not satisfactory. However the performers abated not one jot of their endeavours to please, and acted ''Lost in London " most artistically and earnestly. This piece affords a fine opportunity for the display of love, and virtue, and every point was well brought out. We have do doubt but that the Royal Dramatic include, in its leading members, some first class talent, but We regret to add, that country audiences prefer to be amused to being excited. We wish this company better success in the larger centres as they do their best to deserve it.
