The Sydney portion of the cargo was dischaiged prior to the fire. The Newcastle consignment principally suffered. The fire is supposed to have originated in a sh'pment of wax in itches. The remaining portion of the cargo has been greatly damaged by water, but it is impossib'e to compute the exact amount at present. Nearly 700 tons of cargo in the ship Tulavera were found to be more or less injured after the fire was subdued. The heat also caused some of her pla es to buckle. The dam ige to th.c ves3el is estimated at £3000. The amount is covered by ! insurance in London.—Press Assosiation
