Manawatu Racing Club.
The above Club's Summer Meeting was held yesterday. The weather was all that could be desired, and the rating good. Appended are the results of the different events :— Flying Handicap— Weka, 1 ; La Petite Fille, 2; Fleta, 8. Weka got all the beat of the start, and maintained her advantage all the way winning very easily at the finish. Dividend, £1 18s. Handicap Hurdle Eace. —Matchless, 1 ; Jacob, 2. Only tbe two started. Matchless jumped off with the lead, and won a 1 the way by thtee lengths. Dividend £2 16s. Pell, the rider of Jacob, was brought up before the Stewards for sua--picious riding, but was let off with a caution. Hack Hurdle Eace— Whalebone, 1 ; Emmett, 2 ; Brown Leaf 3. Only the three started, Whalebone winning in a very hollow fashion. Dividend, £1 3s. Boxing Day Handicap —Weka, I ; Pyramus, 2 ; Bangalore, 3. Weka aud Bangalore were first to move, Weka maintaining the lead all the way ; Pyramus came very fast at the finish, and beat Bangalore in the straight. Dividend, £6 15s. Handicap Hack J^cejttterike. 1 ; Kimberley 2 ; Martinbojflßl This was a ding dong finish> olflßb the first two, the former winnimjpm the post by a head. Divideud^^ls 17s. Park Stakes —La Petitejjjak, 1 ; Fleta, 2 ; Josephine, 8, Ifflgpthe three started. La Petite^Fille winning very easily at the finish. Dividend, £1 16s. Flying Hack Eace— Syren, 1 ; Maharseer, 2; Strikes. Won by a head after a good race. Dividend, £2 16*. Tradesmen's Handicap — Montrose, 1; Cruiser, 2; Bangalore, 8. Montroso came very fast in the straight, and won a splendid race by half a length.
