As the station hands returned they discovered the saddles planted, and were taking them back when the strangers met them, and, presenting- revolvers, made them march into the house where they demanded the keys of the boxes. One of the shepherds' wives took in the situation, and, slipping out, made off for assistance As soon as the men missed her they hurried on with their preparations, taking a single-barrelled gun and loading it, as well as all the bullets they could find. They made the shepherd catch and saddle the horses for them on which they rode away. They afterwards called at Walsh's Deep Stream Hotel, where the shepherd's wife had gone for assistance, and demanded brandies, but Walsh dared them to come nearer, and shots were exchanged, after which the robbers rode away. The lioi'sps returned to the station on Saturday, but so far there is no trace of the men. -Press Association.
