Cattle were yarded in moderate numbers, consisting principally of medium to light steers, and all were sold at rather better than late rates. Sheep were in short supply, and remained at late values. Pigs, equal to requirements, were generally easier. Cattle — Bullocks, £5 5s to £6 7s Gd: averages, £G Is 4d and £5 16s 9d.' Sheet -Wethers, 11s 3d to 11s Gd ; lambs, Gs lid to 8s 7d. Pigs — Baconers, 30s to 335 ; porkers, 14s 3d to l-5s 6d ; stores, 7s 2d to 11s 7d. 0* beef, 15s the lOOlbs ; wether mutton, 2d per lb.
