+ _^- Mr J. G. Wilson met the electors atKorera on Tuesday night. MrR. Gardner took tho ehak\ Mr Wilson spolco very wall, and at the conclusion Mr J. Davies proposed a rote of thanks and confidence, which was S3eonded by Mi* McPherson and carried unanimously. Last night's meeting held at the Public Hall Foxton was a crowded one and we aio proud to say passed off very quietly, though it was manifest that the few and noisy supporters of Mr Pirani dosired it to be otherwise. The candidate was perpetually bowled out in mis-statements, and he would have consulted his interests if he had stayed away. Ho broke down at once, and utterly in his attempt to prove the " fallacies" of the criticisms that have been passed upon him by this papet, the object for which he had convened the meeting, and thus jammed, imitated the cuttle fish, ana slung a black volume of dirt all around to cover his retreat. Poor Mr Pirani it is fortunate his troubles are nigh over. A vote of thanks was passed a vote of confidence was proposed but his supporters feared to test their strength.
