Small and choice steers wen; in demand, but larger were neglected, many of these pens being passod in and afterwards (lisp ised of at a moderate advance. The entry of sheep was about equal to requirements, ar<d was virtually coinpo ed of ewes, and though a good demand o-.ist'd rates were relatively lower than lttst week. Lambs of from fair to medium quality were readily d.is-p--Bed of at quot'tions. Pigs, in short s'ipp!y, sold fairly well, biconers and steers being in greater request than porkers... We quote— Cattle, — Lirjht steers, £5 to £5 7> Gd ; medium, £5 17a 6d to £6 2s 6d; lar«e framed 'iillocks.'jEjS co £6 2s Gd ; averages £5 3s 53, £6, and £0 3s 6d. Sheep.— Shorn ewes, 9s 4d to ;9a 6d ; those, in wool, 14s ; lambs, 6s-8d to7s9d. Pigs.— Larire baconers, J62 Is to £2 5s fld ; others. 25s to 295 ; porkers, 19s ; stores, 18s 3d to 15s.
