Personally I am not interested any further than from a sincere desire for the welfare of the town, but I do think good water should be obtained if possible, and further I consider, ii the inhabitants of Main street are willing to bear a special rate for the special convenience of water n^ar or in their houses, still I maintain, there must be a central tap free to all outsiders who would carry it away as they personally did from the river.
