The Typographical Association.
— ♦ At a meeting of the Typographical Association at Wellington it was affirmed that at pre-ent Unions were powerless to prevent working with non-Union men, and that although the Association agreod with the principle with men refusing to work with non-Unionists, any definite action in the matter should be left till some more propitious time. The Trades and Labour Council requested that a levy of ten per cpnt be made on members of the Association in aid of the strike, but it was decided by a large majority not to agree to the d^m md. The following motion was then carried by a small majority : — "That after Saturday, 25th inst., no more assistance be given the strike fund by this Association, but as soon after that dato as possible a meeting- ho cailed to consider what steps the printers of We lington oould tako a alleviate the distress in Wellingto'! caused by the irresponsible and unwarrantable action of ih'SO who caused the present strike " ____M____________________
