IN THE MATTER OF . 1 ' TOE ' PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882, AMENDMENT ACT, 1889.' 1 " THE CHAIRMAN COUNCILLORS and INHABITANTS of thb MANAWATU COUNTY," under the provisions of the above mentioned Act 1 hereby publicly notify the following resolution, passed at a meeting of the Council" held at Sandon, on Tuesday, the 9th day of September, 1890— viz. : WHEREAS this Council lately caused a plan to be prepared shewing two roads within its jurisdiction fronting sections 818, 841, and 884, and running through section Number 884 in the Te Kawau Survey Distrk-t, with the view of stopping the said roafls under the provisions of "The PuUlic Works Act Amen4menfc Act 1889 " with the consent of the owners of the land through which the said roads run, AND shewing also certain newroads intended to be created in lieu of the first mentioned roads ; AND WHEREAS this Council dulylaid the said plan open for Pul lie inspection and gavethe notices required in accordance with tbe, said Act. . • AND WHEREAS no objections were lodged with this Conncil- in respect of the matters aforesaid ;.■■. THIS Council DOTH hereby i resolve that the respective roadsfronting sections number 818, 841, 384 and also running through section number 384 in blocks VIII XI XII -XV and XVI Te Kawau Survey District and so as the same are respec* tively described in the Schedule hereunder written be anil the same aro hereby respectively declared to be stopped and shall for ever hereafter csase to be Public Highways.
