" THE CHAIRMAN COUNCILLORS and INHABITANTS of the MANAWATU ( OUNTY," under the provisions of the above mentioned Act hereby publicly notify the following resolution, passed at a meeting of the Council held at Sandon, on Tuesday, the 9 h dny of September, 1890 — viz. : WHEREAS this Council lately caused a plan to he prepared shewing two roads within il,s jurisdiction fronting sictiuns 818, 341, find 384, and running through seuticn Number 884 in the Te K.-iw.iu Survey Distri t, with tho view of stopping the said roads under the provisions of "The Public Works Act Amendment Acs 1889 " with the consent of the owners of the land through which the said roads run. AND shewing also certain now roads intended to be created in lieu of the first mentioned roads ; AND WHEREAS this Council dv y laid the said plan op«u for Pu' lie inspection and gave the notices required in accordance with the said .Act. AND WHEREAS no objections were lodged with this council in respect of tho matters aforesaid THIS Council DOTH hereby resolve that the respective roqds fronting seetionß number 338, 841, 884 and a'so running through section number 384 in blocks VIH XI XII XV a«.d XVlTeKawnu Survey District and so as the same are respec tively desciibediu the Schedule herennder written be and the sarae are hereby respectively declared to be stopped and sha'l for ever hereafter c.a^e to be Public Highways.
