The Concert.
♦ The concert; on Thursday evening promises a very enjoyable evening's entertainment The object is to raise some funds for the Foxton school, and, as a thorough variety, some friomls of much musical ability, from Sanson, have kindly offered their services. There undoubtedly should be a bumper house, for many reasons : one, to pay a compliment to those who have como so far for such a purpose ; and another, for the cause the funds will be applied. Onr townspeople generally well-patronise any entertainment for their school, and this time they will receive full value for their money. We do not know all the performers, but they ara all accustomed to singing in public ; and we understand that Miss Uray possesses a very sweet voice. Mr Cox, who has not sung for years in this town, has also a very nice voice, not so strong as it is true. Messrs Neill and Jauson are very funny in their comic duetts. The conceit commences at 7.30 sharp, so as to allow our visitors to leave in good time.
