The Almanac will consist of over 32 pages, and will contain a variety of most useful information relating to Rates of Postage Interest Tables Income Tables Gardening Notes Astronomical Notes Local Statistics Hemp-mill Directory, And other particulars. To Advertisers This almanac will be a most acceptable present, and will offer a Grand Opening FOR Judicious Advertising, Partieulara as to which can be obtiiined ut the "Manawatu Herald" OFFICE. A further SPECIAL INTEREST Will be given to the Almanac fron its containing a NEW STORY ; Foi* which we offer a Prize of Two Guineas. The tale may be either grave o guy, but must contain about 1001 words. The Prize Story will appear in th Almanac, but all stories may he usee in the newspaper. Competitors will he notified as tc latest date their manuscripts mns be sent in.
