Tin: American sweetstuff shop in Eegent street is the best for really new designs in the way of toothsome tilings. There are hen's eggshells blown and tilled with chocolate cream : little robins' egg with tasty interiors ; eggs painted all sorts of hues, and filled with all sorts of sweets. Among the prettiest things for Easter decorations are three pggslie Is painted to represent tulips, the s-liell being broken into edgen. There is something really new to chronicle in shoes besidos alteration in shape, for they are made in as ninny colours as dress materials. Dark b v", greer, hlue.gr y, heliotvipe, and all the shades of brown — boots and shoes are made in all thftpe colours. Of course, they are only worn with dresses that match these colours ; and though made for walking, they would not he worn on ordinary occasions. Wedd* ing^ and such festivities bring them out. Ihey look very pre.ty with light dresses. But any women who intends weari-.ig them I should advise to get a collar as low as possible, or •a coll ar thut allows free play for the chm, Jikr, the ordinary one that is worn by men now, with the points turned -down. Parasols will be worn as much and probably more than Mmshades this summer. There are some vevy band some specimens of the farmer in the wiudow^hops. So you see that the rage for expensive sunshade has by no meaas disappeared from the feminine bosom. Check silk sunshades are worn with check cotton frocks. Some pretty sunshades, and cheap too, are made to ma.eh the flowered de lame dresses ; and pongee silk shades have an ending of white van<ty&ed lace above the silk frill.
