VTOTICE is hereby given that by [\ a proclamation, signed by His Excellency the Governor, and dated the 12th day of May, 1890, the Ferry, known as Scott's Ferry, across the Eangitikei River near the mouth of that river was placed under thy exclusive care, control, and management of the Manawatn County Council as fi'om the 19th day of May, 1890 ; and by the said proclamation it was fixed and determined that the Mariawa'tu County Council shall itself provide one half the actual cost of managing and maintaining the said ferry, and that the Riingitikei County Counci 1 shal, on demand from the Manawatu County Counci 1 , pay the latter Coun* cil one half the actual cost of manag* ing and maintaining the said ferry ; provided, however, that the " actual cost" hereinbefore mentioned shall mean the cost of managing and maintaining the said ferry less any profits made in working the aame and less any rents received by or paid to the Manawntu County Coun* cil in respect of the who cor any portion of the Ferry Reserves at the mouth of the Rangitikei River.
