i • MEETING OF CREDITOES. A. meeting of creditors in the estate ot the Rangitikei Fibre Company v. Limited) was held at the ffiees of Messrs .Trayer3 and Izard ou Thursday afternoon. After much discussion. Mr Richards moved, and Mr Nathan seconded -That the creditors of th« Rangitikei Fibre Company, Limited, do hereby nominate and recommeud to his Honor the Judge Mr T. K. Macdonaid, of" Wellington, as liquidator that the liquidator be diree'ed to employ Mr Jellicoe, solicitor. Wel'ingtou, to publicly examine Dr New man, and such other directors as [ the liquidator may think necessary, i for the purpose of investigating the deal ; ngs and affairs of tht Company ; that proceedings be taken to compel I r Newman aud Messrs Harcourt and Z'-hrab to restore to the Com |>ariy moneys that they have pos i se.ssod themselves of belonging to the Company, and to pay for their s'.ai'tts, and to take such other proceedings as m.iy be defined nece.se ary to mt aside the mortage ex* i ecuted to the i\ew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, and to make tho directors respon j sibl» j for wrongfully partiug with the Company's property by the said security, and for issuing va ueless ch'-ques and for reckless trading. This was cairi'd, Mr Richmond protesting. In thu noui'se of his r- ma ks Mr J' llicof s id undovibtedly the transaction with the Agency Company was btst explained by a letter written by Mr Smith, of that com pany, on the 19th March, 1890.
