At the aunual dinner oi the Civil Service Club, Lord Wolseley ridiculed the idea of the English Navy bbing defeated and Great Britain compelled to surrender in the event of her being engaged in war. He declared thai it would be impossible for any enemy to blockade British ports and prevent the introduction of supplies.
