Messrs Johnson and " Allsup on 21st February report en New Zealand Hemp :— Nearly 4000 bales bare been offeardt the bulk of which have been disposed of at occasionally low prices. There are large quantities said to nave been sold afloat; should these interfere with the demand here prices may further decline, Present quotations : superior soft bright, £29 to £81; good quality, well oleaned, £27 tt £28 ; fair to good, £25 to £27 ; comtnen, coarse and strawy, 422 to £24,
