St. Patrick's Day.
Monday will be a great day to be sure. Every patriotic Irishman will turn out for a holiday, and many there will beabout. Amusements ljavo been provided to make the holiday eDJoyrtble arid lit the! morning a REGATTA under the auspices of the Rowing Club will be held. This promises to be a most successful gathering, and the races will be many and good. The rowing will be worth seeing, as it wid be 'good struggling and without the " li-tlessueas " oi our " pro* ■ fessional" amateur. Besides the ladies have entered heartily into the affair, and they will show some real nice pnlling. It the officials get through the excitement safely, all of them will roll up at the CONCERT advertised to be held in the evening* 'fhe receipts are to go towards pro viding more boats for the Manawatu Eowin? Club, and the programme is capitally arranged, therefore there are two reasons for going in tead of one.
