" SUNSHINE AT HOME? "

» ..... Why not? Well that is the reason wo desire to explain. Till lately all frag sunshine at home, the help was useful, the baby quiet, and the " hubby " very good, but alas ! a change has come o'er the scene and paradoxical as it may sound because of two much of "gun. shine at home." Wandering about this township, frequenting the houses -where he knows the theoretical head of the family, that is to gay, the husband, has left to attend to other work, is a book-fiend, not of engaging countenance or manners, and who continually break? the calm of the surroundings by persistent efforts to sell a book having the title this protest is headed with. It mar be an act of necessity that oompelfs a person to transform himself into a l( book-fiei;cl," but that is no reason why he should not assert the ccurage of his "profession" and worry persons of his own sex— with the attendant dangers— to becoming a positive nuisance to tht women who are left at home. "Sunshine at home " will not be gained or sold by such tactics, and as we have been informed of the 'conduct of this par ticular canvasser, we can assure him that in some instanoes, unless he adopt! a different manner of carry ing out his legitimate calling, it will Uko all the contents of tht volume he pushes to console him for accidents incurred. On one application being made, and an answer given, he should desist from further worrying but we are informed that though a reply has bun given and the door shut in his face, he will linger too long about the premises.. This will not be allowed and in the words of Woidsworth we should advise him to remember "How fist has brother, followed brothtr, From sunshine to the sunless land!"
