ROWING CLUB FOR FOXTON.
A meeting 1 of those interested in the formation of a rowing club was held at Whyte's hotel on Wednesday evening last. There were a. He mentioned the ; number of young men that now re- . sid din the town to what it for- ; merly was, and believed there would be no trouble in getting sufficient i mono}' by subscriptions and contfi--1 butioiis to form the olub. - ' ,' Mr Young proposed, and Mr Bay I' seconded — " That a Bowing Club be. \ j formed in Foxton, the name of the i Club to be held over until next mept- > j ing.
