DAILY MERCIES.
Night after night, when cease the toils of day, Our wearied bodies down to rest we lay, And kindly sleep charms weariness away. Do we thank God for this ? Mora after morn, refreshed, we wake from sleep Because His hand sustained, and did us keep While we Unconscious lay in slumber deep. Do we thank God for this ? Day after day our wants are all supplied, Day after day are health and strength enjoyed, Bleßsings — which unto many are denied. Do we thank God for these ? , The pleasant sights we see, and sounds we hear, The clearly seeing eye — the hearing ear- - The use of reason — friends and kindred dear. Do we thank God for these ? Our mercies all come from the gracious hand Of Him who has all good at his command, And warmest gratitude from us demand. Then thank Him for them all. But far more precious than all else beside The blessings for our souls that are supplied Through His dear Son, who for our sins hath died. Give thauks and praise for these ! , . R.I).
