Siß,r-After the mOBt interesting entertainment of "The Flower Queen" given to u« feat night by the ladies at the Foxton Public' Hall and go successfully carried out, it proves that we have yet some musical talent in ..our midst, and therefore we should no longer be left destitute of many such enjoyable evenings, provided the ladies will be encouraged by the late sucoes*, as proveiiby an over-crowded audience, to •xert'themeelves in the future. Too much credit cannot be given to all the ladies, •ho the little girls, but particularly to Miss Harley for the able manner in which Bhe fought against difficulties arising, and in the end'aehieved complete success. Great thanks- also are due to Mr Isherwood and the orchestra as a whole for their justly appreciated musical accompaniments, thereby greatly adding to the treat. Some yean ago concerts and pleasant entertain. ment» were of frequent ocourence, but of late, tor some causes they have been tare and far between. It is to be hoped that a new departure will now be made and the energy formerly displayed will be revived. I am, &c. ;.-. , An Old Identity.
