HEMP CABLE.
We undertook to request Mr Wilson, after he had obtained a promise froui the Government to secure all ihe information re the flax industry from the Agent General, to follow up his action, by requesting that communication should be made by cable. A t this time, witb a falling market, tbe industry is in a very unsettled state, and it Would mean a very large sum to the good of the Colony at large, if reliable information waß obtained and quickly. We are pleased to state that Mr Wilson viewed the matter in the light we did, and at once upon receipt of out letter waited npon the Premier and explained the position of mattersIt is still more satisfactory to learn th it the Premier agreed to act ou Mi Wilson's representations and promised to cab c to the Agent General at once. We may hope soon to have better information than that which is now floating around.
