DEATH OF MR CLARK DUNN.

We regret to have to record the sudden death of Mr Clark Dunn, which took place at his residence, last evening, at 10 o'clock. Mr Dunn had just finished making some entries in a pocket book, and was talking and laughing, when his wife noticed a change in his face and he immediately slipped from his seat in the chair and expired. For some time past Mr Dunn had been occasionally attacked with a peculiar pain in the throat, which occurred after any extra exertion, but speedily passed away after he had rested for a short time. It is supposed that his death was due to heart disease. Mr Dunn will be missed by many friends by whom he was highly esteemed for his many sterling qualities. He was well known as a contractor of large experience, and in conjunction with the late Mr Henry McNeil, built the well known Gorge Bridge. Mr Dunn has only survived his formed partner by some eleven weeks, and his death will also create another vacancy in the direc torate of the local Building Society, four of the directors of which have now been removed by death within a very short time. At the time of his death Mr Dunn was interested in a number of local industries and in saw and flax mills down the Company's line. — M. Times.
