THE FISK JUBILEE SINGERS.
Out readers will no doubt be glad to learn that they will have an opportunity of hiring the celebrated Fisk Jubilee Singers, before they leave New Zealand. On Thursday evening next at the Public Hall Foxton they give a concert. Th« company consists often coloured vooaliata from the United States of America, and their programme is chiefly made up of the songs composed and song by the former slaves of America prior to emancipation, varied by solos, quartets, glees &c. by modern composers. They have just completed their second tour of New Zealand and hdve now sung in nearly every * town of any importance throughout the Australian Colonies. They will shortly return to Australia where they give a few farewell concerts, finishing up in Queensland, and in November tbe company sail for India and will probably visit China and Japan, before returning home to AmericH. The plan of the reserved seats can now be inspected at Mr McLean's store, and we should advise all those who wish to secure their seats to do so at onoe, as there is snre to be a crowded house to welcome these celebrated vocalists.
