TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATU HERALD.
Sib,— There are two words I feel it mj duty to say before leaving your district, and if you will kindly afford me the neeessarj spaoe in your columns I shall be glad. The first is the acknowledgement of the i extreme courtesy and kindness I met on al hands among the flax mill people, and foi \ which I cannot attempt to express mj thanks. And^he second is an apology for having < had to curtail my visit as to have failed in calling. upon many of the millers whos< i invitations I had accepted, and to have visited whom would have afforded me great ■ pleasure. I 'Hope ahortly to be able to paj a more complete round of calk, and in the meantime allow me to wish the flax industry and all those engaged in it in the Foxton district all the success they desire, and which they ho much deserve. Yours faithfully, Chw. 8, B*otß '
