MESSRS F. R. JACKSON AND COS STOCK REPORT. JoHNsoNTOLE, March 6. The cattle yarded were for the moat part inferior in weight and quantity to last week's supplies, and although the entry was smaller to-day it wa} in excess of requirements, as the bidding Was doll and a week tone generally prevailed the majority of the bullocks being passed in. We disposed of a portion of 'the entry,' however, at an advaneto on rates previously offered, the (remainder being turned out unsold. Sheep were in fall numbers. No really prime weathers were penned. Ewes from culls to gooa fat made late rates. One line of wethers and ewes were not sold, but the rest were disposed of at auction, for which bidding was.. fairly brisk. The lambs advertised did not arrive in time for the sale, and were sold privately afterwards. Some 2-tooth Romney Marsh ram >, the property of Messrs Best Bros, Ohairu Valley, met with- spirited bidding as did also an entry of. a similar bred or other sheep on account of another vendor. Sheep.— Fat wethers, 10s ; ewes, 7a 6d to 8s 6d, culls, 4s 3d ; shorn lambs, 6a ; store lambs 4s 3d ; shorn lambs, 6s ; store lambs 48 7d.
