Hourly we meet with a poor Mapdalen tired of a misspent life, seeking <» shelter, and finding no security ajraiust th.; biting blasts of renewed tempt atio> , turns away with the weiftbt of the world's accusation, with the world's condemnation, and becomes the victim of au unholy impulse, whioh cannot be reoalled without a sighnay, without a te>«r. Kindly, therlorr, bear in mind— 1. A most desirable nito has been acquired for the Magdalen near Christ church. 2 His Eminence Cardinal M< ran laid l\o foundation-stone at "Mount Mag* dala " on the 18th of February of last year in the presence of 5000 people, and the first portion of the Asylum is near y complettd. . • • 3. The advantages of the Magdalen will be extended !to all New Zealand and elnewbere. ! ! 4. The waifs »nd the wanderers who arc rescued from the paths «f misery and Bin are not asked to what creed they belong. It is sufficient that they need succour. {>. The inmates ot " Mount Magdala" and the Good Shepherd Nuns placed over them will rememb r always, -with lively gratitude, the benefactors of the institution. 6.
