As a result of the recent auctions and the accumulation of heavy stocks, tallow is declining. Best mutton is at present quo'ed at 32s 61. For beef the quotations are merely nominal. At the wool sales srossbred9 continue ver> firm ; good merinos are steady at last quotations ; medium sorts are irregular. The money market is hardening. Co.onUl stocks are cheapening. New Zealand hemp is quoted at from L 37 5s to L 37 10s.
