FLAX.

We regret to have to announce the following information just received by cable from London, but it is as well that all who are interested in the industry should be prepared for what is anticipated. Our information is very reliable and we do not see that it has received attention in any of our contemporaries. The cablegram runs thus. "In New Zealand Hemp no business is doing and no speculators arefrightened, and the market is expected to drop."

We would add however that the drop is not likely to be sufficient to cause loss, but the large prices have for a time ceased.
